Walk into Life

Authors Note: This is a prediction on the short story"Thank You Ma'am" it is about a month after, Rodgers run in with Ms.Jones.

Rodger walked down the street and around the corner.  Having no place to go, he stops takes off his jacket and lays it down. Then lays down on top of it. Surviving here would be the hardest part. But he tries to fall asleep.  Suddenly he’s awaken by someone shaking him awake. His eyes shot open . Maybe he was being robbed, maybe this is karma.  But when he stops to see what’s actually going on, his face softens. It was a young girl, she looked to be about 10 years old.

“Hello Sir” She says sweetly.  

“Um Hi ,Where’s your mum?” He asks.

“Oh,shes just over there” She answers nonchalantly

“Well you must get back, she will probably be worrying about you. “ He sternly said

“No, I will not leave you out here, cold and alone. If I have to go back to my mother than you have to, too!” She insisted.

“Well we must be off than” He said with a smile

The walked down the thick sidewalk.

“What’s your name?” She asked with curiosity.

“I’m Rodger” He mumbled

“ Why are you on the street Rodger, doesn’t your mommy worry about you?” She questioned

“My Mum and Pop aren’t around” He said sadly

“What about your Siblings, Friends, Grandparents, Aunts , Uncles…?”

“No”  Rodger  hissed “What about you what’s your name?”

“ MOMMY”  She exclaimed.

She ran across the street to her mother. Told her all about Rodger and his story. About not having anyone.  So Rodger was invited in.  But that one night everything changed, He fell in love. With the mother and the little girl.  

He will be there for a very long time; maybe even till death. 

The Death of Me

Authors Note : This piece is a character analysis of Rae Momsen from "Love is a Battlefield". You will find twists and turns that cause the character to act in many different ways.  

In the book “Love is a Battlefield” by Charlene Steward . The main character Rae Momsen  is a small town girl that never believed that she could be taken by love.  She doesn’t believe in love. When taken to live with her grandparents  after her parents die, things start to change.  Her personality and attitude towards life.

She thinks that her life will somewhat be the same, but she needs to start believing in herself.  When she starts at her new school she meets a boy, his name is Rodney.  She starts to open up about her past  to him, and comes a tad bit out of her shell.  But when Rae finds out about his past. She believes that maybe they were meant to be , but is to insecure to believe her own thoughts. Being the new girl, she is getting a lot of negative attention. She’s just trying to fight against the bullies and be herself, which making her stronger.  

About half way through the book Rodney dies , It was because of a head on crash. But the worst part is that he caused it. Rae starts to think suicidal thoughts  , and that he would want her with him. Rae starts to talk to a girl named Tatiana  . They seem to have the same outlook on life. 

Rae ends up starting a club to talk about everything negative  that , is going on in their lives. Pretty much a support group, for all that are struggling.  In that group she meets another boy whose name is Froy,  He is bulimic.  But Rae is the only one that knows; She seems to make him rethink of who , really cares for him. 

 Things get more serious in Froy and Raes lives , they start to date.  Rae is a lot more Open and Caring now.  They live by the rule , “If jump off a bridge you stay grounded”. It’s their life saying , they always will live by that rule . I mean what can I say? Love is a Battlefield ; sometimes you won’t always win the war.  But  Rae will always be a strong and very loving person for as long as she will live.

Games of Twilight

 Authors Note: This is a Conflict and Resouloution peice, On The Hunger Games and Twilight!

 Katniss Everdeen  and her family come from a coal mining district. In each district there is one boy and one girl, who are chosen  to battle for  their lives. They can only be picked if they are between the ages of 12 and 18.  Their journey starts at the reaping , where they are chosen for the Hunger Games.  Then they move on their journey to “The Capitol” , there they are greeted by a lot of crazy people with sort of spooky costumes.  Moving on they then have to go to a live television interview to where they have get sponsors, who throughout the games will send  them things that will help them survive.  After that they are shipped to wherever the games are, on that flight they get a tracking device embedded in their skin. Once they are at the destination for the games, they are set up on their podium until the countdown gets to one. When that happens they rush to get the best fighting tools, to kill humans and animals alike. In the end of how ever much time they need to kill everyone , leaving only one person . That person is declared the Hunger Games Champion.

But the 74^th Hunger Games are all to different for Katniss, when it comes to the reaping. She has to make the decision against herself , when her sister is chosen as the girl tribute. I mean it’s guess that I would say that her heart was beating pretty fast when she heard “Primrose Everdeen” over the loud speaker.  But she ended up volunteering in place of her sister ; went through everything that all of the other tributes in the 74 years.

In the first book of “Twight” Bella , the main character. Is pretty much shipped to live with her dad, who she hasn’t spoken to in about 5 years. When she meets up with her old friend , Jacob Black things start to get strange. On her first day at her new school, she sees “The Cullen’s “ known for acting suspicious.  When Bella is seated next to Edward Cullen in class , He seems to find Bella disgusting. But when she almost gets crushed by a friends van, Edward somehow shoves the van to the side ; with bare hands.  Jacob then tells her all about some legends, about blood suckers. She looks into it; concludes that “The Cullen’s “ are vampires.  Edward suddenly disappears for a week or two. But when he comes back he confesses that he only avoided her because the smell of her blood.  Over time , Edward and Bella fall in love.  But she doesn’t know if she loves Jacob or if she loves Edward.

So the conflict for this story is ,that she has to decide if she can take the spot of the “food “ in the relationship with Edward. Or always be on the watch for when Jacob may turn into a “dog” or even a “werewolf”.   But in the end she ends up picking Edward, who is a blood sucking vampire ; who has save her life.
