Founding Fathers

Authors Note : I wrote this for the Patriots Pen Essay Competition. A BIG thanks to our Founding Fathers R.I.P.
Dear Founding Fathers ,
All of us in the US feel that we needed to thank you for all the good you did. We enjoy the games that you have created. All of the great inventions. Everything you did ,we still do today. We live by; well most of your rules. The way you thought of how to keep your money wasn’t the greatest but that’s ok. You did create our country the greatest way.  Washington , Hamilton , Franklin , Adams, Jefferson , Jay and Madison. Thanks guys for all your work .
Ben Franklin you making odometer was a great Idea , it helps run all the cars and measure a distance really helps.  George Washington , you were the first president and starting World War 1 was great. Thomas Jefferson , You organized the Democratic  Republic and everyone has a different take on that. You also signed the bill of rights . James Madison , you were part of the House of Representatives and was the fourth president. Alexander Hamilton , you were the USAS  first secretary  . John Adams , you were the USAS second president . Thank you for your amazing participation.
Who I would like to thank the most is probably Ben , you are the one that made it so our cars count the miles. They also make a Pedometer , it is sort of like a Human Odometer . It counts that persones steps and every mile she/he  runs.  I have used a Pedometer in gym. We think that there is always going to be a ways to use one .
Thank you for all your hard work and devotion. You will always be remembered for this. I look up to everyone of you. Thanks again yours forever and ever

Cheer Health

Authors Note ; I wrote this so that everyone would know that Cheerleading is a sport and is not to b taken lightly . This is a true story.

It was a mucky day , driving up the large hill. With many civets in the long drive. Circling around to the high school parking lot. Sticky hot weather , sweating even before cheer. You know I love the way my hand moves through the wind, out the window ; to the beat of sound.  Sometimes I wonder what I would do without music. I had missed my alarm this morning causing me to miss my home game for cheer.  I see all my so called Sisters waiting for more people to arrive.  Right when the car comes to halt , I jump out and run into a swarm of hugs.

After conditioning and about 1,000,000 cheers. We moved onto stunting. I’m a pro at baseing elevators . I live for, I guess throwing girls my age in the air and catching them. But this time it was different. I was in my stance for an elevator but , she fell. I went to catch her but stepped funny. It felt like my knee cap popped out. I didn’t know what to do I just stood there, my feelings were mad and then I realized that this is serious and not to worry about that aspect.I had torn my MENSCUIS

Now it is about 2 months later and I’m still out of gym. Going to physical therapy . Watching my bestfreinds doing what they love. But I’m sitting out alone. Out of Competition, just watching everything form in front of my eyes. It’s really sad, I  feel like I let everyone down. But I have to keep my head up and show everyone I’m ok , I will get them next time.

Sisters 4 Ever

I walk through the ,what seems like forever hallways. Anticipation rises through my body . Searching for the room number. My mind running in all directions. But four  words keep repeating “I’m  a big sister” . The ride on the elevator is excruciating. I Stepped out onto the slick floor. My winter boots flopped onto the floor. But only one thing mattered , seeing her. There it was, the room that holds her, my sister.  I knock slowly hoping not to disturb anyone. I hear my mother’s frail voice call “Come In”.  I tiptoe in past the curtain and I see a small pink blanket in my mother’s arms. There she Is , my baby sister Grace.
Four years later I’m in the same position , same hospital. But now I’m walking along with my sister grace. She seems to be much more excited, the same way I was. We get to the door and I see something crazy. Grace is acting the same way I did when I came to see her the first time. Slightly knocking and waiting for a answer. When she hears one she tiptoes in. Me following close behind. Before me I see my life as a single child , to a big sister to two fabulous young ladies. How blessed I was.

We Fight, Scream and Are not the nicest to each other all of the time. But in the end we are sisters and we need each other. In the long run we will always have each other to lean on. It’s hard to be the Big Sister all the time , I’m not going to lie. Always being a role model ? Always doing the right things? No of course not , I mess up.  But I love my two little sisters Livy and Grace.
